Dymitr Żaworonkow

Dymitr Żaworonkow MD, PhD - Specialist in oncological surgery and proctology.
Surgeon at the Department of Oncologic and Reconstructive Surgery at M. Sklodowska-Curie National Institute of Oncology, Gliwice.

Graduated from the National Pirogov Memorial Medical University, Vinnytsya.
After postgraduate internship at the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice he started work and specialisation at the Department of Gastrointestinal Surgery of the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice (2007-2013).
He simultaneously completed PhD studies at the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice, Faculty of Medicine. Phd thesis about results of usage polypropylene and nitinol mesh in the reconstruction of a large defect of the rat's abdominal wall.
Awarded with the RFSD CMPW PAN scientific scholarship.
Co-author of numerous scientific papers, publications and conference reports.
In 2016 he founded the Laser Surgery, Proctology and Phlebology Cabinet.
